Mullins Boarding House

This large two-story townhouse seems out of place compared to the ramshackle buildings around it. With flowerboxes, ivy running up the west way, white-washed fence, and frilly curtains on the windows — it would seem more at home in Philiadelphia. In fact, that is where the owner of the house was originally born, so it looks that way for a reason.

Once a private home, and still somewhat kept that way, Mrs. Mullins has turned it into a boarding house for those people planning to stay in town for some time. She doesn't take overnight boarders, unless they are important and proper people. Courtesy, respect, and proper manners are demanded from all who stay under her roof. Proper meals are served and the guests are expected to attend or notify Mrs. Mullins what engagement is more important. She has been known to go into the Lady Luck and drag out someone that has skipped one of her meals unannounced.

For all of this hassle the benefits make sure that she rarely has more than one room empty at a time. The guests are treated like family, meaning Mrs. Mullins will fight like a wounded she-bear defending her cubs for any of her guests. She offers advice, listens, and anyone on her good side will find dealing with the rest of the town that much easier. In fact, those that stay at Mrs. Mullins find they are accepted as if they had been townsfolk for years.
